Inti Ombak sports program introduces basic to advanced understanding of the sport of Pencak Silat. Students will be taught basic aspects of theoretical and practical application of the sport while improving athletic ability. Instructors will demonstrate Pencak Silat movement, and the students will learn these movements under direct professional supervision. Upon completion of this program students will have a basic understanding of the sport and be able to perform basic Pencak Silat Movement. Inti Ombak Pencak Silat can guide and train all experience and ages. IOPS is an active member in good standing with the governing body of Pencak Silat Sport and is an internationally certified PSEP training center. For students looking to compete, IOPS training centers are capable of preparing them for any competition, local, regional, national, or international.
USSSA – United States Sport Silat Association (usasportsilat.org)
The United States Sport Silat Association (USSSA) is the sole national body for Pencak Silat competition in the United States recognized by the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT) the global governing body for the sport which has 53 member countries and nearly one thousand athletes.
We coordinate local, state and national level competitions, so that we may field a strong USA Pencak Silat National Team that represents our country’s diversity of talent, knowledge and skill in Pencak Silat.
Looking to the future we are organizing to make Pencak Silat an official event in popular international venues like the Olympics, the Pan-Am Games and the Goodwill Games.
